entrance requirements for training cycle
courses in plastic arts
1. Those persons who have realized the following studies can enter
directly into these courses:
- For entrance in Artistic Jewellery:
- Artistic Secondary School, having taken the following subjects:
Volume 2, Basics of Design, Artistic Jewellery Workshop.
- Experimental Artistic Secondary School.
- Graduate in Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts in Jewellery.
- Higher Technician of another Upper Level Training Cycle of the
same professional family.
- For entrance in: Applied Arts of Sculpture:
- Artistic Secondary School, having taken the following subjects:
Volume 2, Basics of Design, Artistic Applied Arts of Sculpture Workshop
.
- Experimental Artistic Secondary School.
- Graduate in Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts in Sculpture.
- Higher Technician of another Upper Level Training Cycle of the
same professional family.
- For entrance in Artistic Photography:
- Artistic Secondary School, having taken the following subjects:
Image, Basics of Design, Artistic Photography Workshop .
- Experimental Artistic Secondary School.
- Graduate in Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts in Artistic Photography
- Higher Technician of another Upper Level Training Cycle of the
same professional family.
2. Those candidates who do not meet these requirements are required
to take an entrance examination, for which there are two possibilities:
- Diplomas/Degrees not included for direct entrance:
those candidates with a University Degree, University Diploma, COU
(University preparation year after final year of Secondary School),
LOGSE Secondary School, must pass a specific examination, which consists
of three parts:
- 1st exercise.
Development in writing in a maximum of 1 hour of questions on art
history, from a written text, or from graphic material .
- 2nd exercise.
Realize, during a maximum time limit of 3 hours, an artistic drawing
of a live model. Here mimesis, composition and artistic sensitivity
will be taken into account.
- 3rd exercise.
Realize, during a maximum time period of 4 hours, a number of sketches
on a given subject; one of these sketches must be expressed tri-dimensionally.
Artistic sensitivity, composition, sense of space and capacity for
communication will all be taken into account.
- Candidates of 20 years of age with no studies:
These candidates must pass a specific examination and also a general
examination, which consists in the following:
- A.
Exam on ordinary subjects typical of the curriculum in Secondary
School:
Spanish language and literature, Philosophy, History, Foreign language.
The candidate selects three of the subject areas and develops in
writing one question out of four that have been proposed for each
of the three chosen subject areas. Maximum time will be 3 hours.
- B.
- Plastic composition exercise from a given model.
- Analysis of questions on History of Art, from a text or audiovisual
document.
