requirements for upper level courses in design
Those persons who are in possession of the secondary education qualifications
envisaged in article 19 of the L.O.G.S.E., or the declared equivalent
(BUP+COU), sho pass the entrance examination for these studies can be
accepted for entry into the Upper Level Courses. To these effects, having
passed the entrance examination for adult students over the age of twenty-five
into university is considered the academic equivalent to having the
diploma of secondary education qualifications.
The entrance examination, in this case, shall consist of the following
exercises:
1. First exercise:
This exercise shall deal with the following subjects common to the
preceding educational level: Valencian Language and Literature, or Spanish
Language and Literature, History, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry,
and Foreign language. Each candidate shall select three of these subjects
and develop in writing one question on each one of the chosen subjects.
To this effect, the Tribunal shall propose four questions for each one
of the subject areas.
The maximum time allowed for answering each one of the subjects shall
be sixty minutes, and the answers can be written out indistinctly in
either Valencian or Spanish. The exam on the foreign language shall
be answered in the corresponding language.
In this first exercise, knowledge on the prededing educational level
shall be evaluated, as well as the degree of maturity insofar as the
understanding of the concepts, the use of the language, capacity for
analysis and synthesis, and the adequate integration of the phenomenon
dealt with in relation to other related disciplines.
2. Second exercise:
This exercise shall consist in two parts:
a) The first part, with a maximum duration of five hours, and consisting
in the realization of an exercise of representation of a three-dimensional
model by means of the applicatioin of techniques and languages appropriate
to artistic drawing and the representation of the same or other different
model in a system typical of the languages of technical representation.
b) The second part, with a maximum duration of one hour. This shall
consist in the realization of an exercise in colour composition done
in free technique, based on the free interpretation of the proposed
model.
In the second exercise, the fidelity shall be evaluated, artistic
as well as technical, as well as the creative aptitudes, skills, artistic
sensitivity demonstrated in the realization of the exercise, knowledge,
technical understanding, capacity for setting up and solving problems,
clarity and precision in the finish of the work and the correct utlilization
of the techniques employed.
Entrance for persons over 25 years of age
Those who do not meet the conditions for entrance specified above,
and who are over 25 years of age, shall first of all be required to
take a exam of maturity which will evaluate the the course contents
equivalent to the level of primary education qualification, and once
this has been passed they shall register and shall be required to
pass the entrance examination.
