The administrative team is a group of teachers who are responsible for the executive and directive function of the School. The Director proposes the members of the Teaching Staff, or Claustro, who if they accept, will make up the team over which he/she presides and coordinates. This team is responsible for the daily functioning of the School, has to make decisions of an immediate nature on a daily basis, but their work is also over a mid and long-term period, defining the educational plan of the Centre, and setting the objectives that the collective group as a whole - teachers and students - have to meet. The Administrative Team is, therefore, a decisive element in the smooth running and operation of the School. The members hold the following offices: Director The Director has the maximum responsibility insofar as institutional decision and representation of the School is concerned. He/she coordinates and assigns the tasks of the administrative team, and attends to the consultations, demands and suggestions of individual persons and of the different collective bodies of the School.Vice-Director This is an office that works or functions in close collaboration with the Director, and who is in charge of areas such as: receiving and distributing information to and from the different collective bodies of the School (Office of Information); publication of materials of interest to the School (Office of Publications); International Programs; External Relations; etc..Secretary The Secretary is responsible for the administrative aspects of the School. Writing up and looking after all official documentation (records of academic evaluation; minutes of meetings of the Teaching Staff (Claustro) and Board of Governors; student records; cultural heritage; etc.). The office of the Secretary controls the processes of pre-registration, registration and preparation of records. He/she takes care of the maintenance and the smooth running of the material infrastructure of the different spaces in the School. He/she therefore organizes and oversees the activity of the Administrative and Service personnel.Director of Studies The Director of Studies is assigned the mission of organizing and following up on, directly, the teaching process. His/her area or field of responsibility is that of the academic content imparted in the School, as well as the methodologies employed, and the didactic programs for the different teaching areas. The Director of Studies draws up the course timetables, assigns the teaching tasks to the teachers, supervises the entrance examinations, controls the processes of evaluation and oversees the quality of teaching. |
