board of governors

The Board of Governors (Consell Escolar) is a representative organ of the different stratums that make up the School. Their functions are: to supervise and ratify aspects relative to the economic administration and to the infrastructure of the centre.

The Board of Governors is made up of members ex officio (i.e. because of the offices they hold), who are: the Director, who presides over and convenes the Board, the Director of Studies, and the Secretary. The other members are elected: four professors and four students, in representation of their respective groups, one representative of the Administrative and Services Personnel (PAS), and one representative of the City Hall. All have the right to vote, except for the Secretary, whose function is to record the minutes of the meeting .

The elected members of the Board of Governors are renewed every two years in only one half of their total number (in each election two professors and two students are elected). This means that there is a certain continuity of representatives, with the objective of facilitating a transmission of knowledge and follow-up on the issues that are dealt with. The process for the renewal of the members of the Board of Governors is established by the local Ministry of Culture and Education. The representatives of the teaching staff are elected in the Claustro, and the students' representatives and those of the PAS in the polling stations that are set up on the dates stipulated in the calendar for this process.
