Selection process
Selection Criteria Our selection process is based on the following weighted criteria:
- 70% – Quality of the portfolio.
- 15% – Reciprocity (exchange balance between EASD València and your home institution).
- 15% – Knowledge of Spanish.
Language Requirements & Courses To support our incoming students, we offer the following free language support:
- Intensive Spanish Course (September): A free introductory course held before the start of the semester. It is mandatory for students with no prior knowledge of Spanish. While it does not grant ECTS, it is highly beneficial for your integration and academic success.
- Spanish for Foreigners (Semester Course): A free 6-ECTS course (levels A2 to B1). One course is available each semester.
Selection process
1. Selection & Admission
Once the portfolio submission period ends, our team will conduct the selection process.
- If you are admitted: You will receive an official Acceptance Letter via email.
- If you are rejected: You will receive an email explaining the reasons for our decision.
2. Arrival & Intensive spanish course
To help you integrate, we offer a free two-week Intensive Spanish Course before regular classes begin. This course is highly recommended for students who need to improve their language skills. You will receive further details regarding dates and registration by email.
3. Academic trial period & Enrollment
We offer a flexible «shopping period» to ensure you find the right fit:
- The Two-Week Trial: During the first two weeks of the semester, you can attend any subject from any major or level (except for Master’s degrees).
- Final Enrollment: After this trial period, you will finalize your enrollment.
- Learning Agreements: All Learning Agreements (LAs) must be updated and signed to match the subjects chosen during the final enrollment.
4. Student benefits & Services
- Adobe Creative Suite: The school will provide a free Adobe license for you to use during your stay at our institution.
- ESN Card: The International Office will provide you with a free ESN Valencia card, offering discounts on travel, events, and social activities.
- Transcripts & Documents: At the end of your mobility, you will be able to download all your official Erasmus documents directly from our student Intranet.

Here you will find the information about the optional subjects. Remember that most of the optional subjects are 6 ECTS and only takes part in the winter semester.
