Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design: Photography and Audiovisual Production Track

The growing prominence of photography and audiovisual media in contemporary design, art and communication calls for new, versatile professionals. Fashion film, television graphics, motion graphics, photojournalism and fine-art photography are increasingly in demand in the communication industry, and these are the subjects practised in our classrooms. A critical, intensive, practical, career-focused and project-based education centred on photography and audiovisual media.

Elective subjects are taught in the first and second semesters of the fourth year and offer content that complements the main programme. Cross-disciplinary in nature, they allow students to explore specific content within and beyond their chosen specialisation, encouraging an interdisciplinary approach and broadening knowledge across different fields of design and creation.

External internships are a training activity carried out by students and supervised by a tutor from the company or institution where they take place, together with an academic tutor from the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny de València. Their main aim is to allow students to apply and complement the knowledge acquired during their academic training while, at the same time, developing the competences that prepare them for professional activity, facilitate their employment and foster their entrepreneurial capacity.

The growing prominence of photography and audiovisual media in contemporary design, art and communication requires professionals with higher-level training than currently exists, moving beyond the traditional craft-based and self-taught education that is now insufficient.
