Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design

Visual communication is a fundamental component in today’s information age. This makes the work of the visual communication designer, or graphic designer, an emerging profession with a growing field of applications in the areas of production and information. The speed and agility of response that characterize this specialty set it apart from other areas of design. This is due to the rapid technological evolution that provides designers with increasingly precise and powerful instrumental support. The Graphic Design specialty at l’Escola Superior de Disseny de València trains students in a wide range of projects that correspond to different professional situations.

The elective subjects are taught in the first and second semester of the 4th year and offer content that complements the main training. Cross-disciplinary in nature, they allow students to explore specific content inside and outside the chosen specialty, encouraging an interdisciplinary approach and broadening knowledge in different areas of design and creation.

External work placements are a training activity carried out by students and supervised by a tutor from the company or institution where they take place and by an academic tutor from l’Escola Superior de Disseny de València. Their main objective is to allow students to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their academic training while, at the same time, fostering the acquisition of skills that prepare them for professional activities, facilitate their employment and encourage their entrepreneurial capacity.

To train professionals with specific preparation, capable of taking on the dynamic changes that — from different scenarios (economic, environmental, political, cultural and ecological) — have been accelerating and manifesting with greater speed and potential in recent years, transforming not only the reality of the current business management model but also social reality.
