Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design

Fashion Design studies seek a balance between form and function. Form must be determined by stylistic codes and defined by each student, as must the function of use, which can never lose sight of a target audience that is constantly evolving.

Fashion is a language and therefore a powerful tool for communicating the values prevailing at any given moment. As a language, it generates feedback and, for that reason, goes almost unnoticed by no one.

These studies keep the plan for productive and economic viability very much in mind, without forgetting the indispensable support of good physical and digital communication.

Elective subjects are taught in the first and second semesters of the fourth year and offer content that complements the main programme. Cross-disciplinary in nature, they allow students to explore specific content within and beyond their chosen specialisation, encouraging an interdisciplinary approach and broadening knowledge across different fields of design and creation.

External internships are a training activity carried out by students and supervised by a tutor from the company or institution where they take place, together with an academic tutor from the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny de València. Their main aim is to allow students to apply and complement the knowledge acquired during their academic training while, at the same time, developing the competences that prepare them for professional activity, facilitate their employment and foster their entrepreneurial capacity.

To train professionals with specific preparation, able to embrace the dynamic changes that —across different scenarios: economic, environmental, political, cultural and ecological— have accelerated and emerged ever more rapidly and powerfully in recent years, transforming not only the reality of the current business management model but also social reality.
