The Master’s aims to foster your professional ability to generate ceramic-design projects from an eco-efficiency standpoint; to contribute originally to the advancement, research and innovation of the design and creation of sustainable ceramic products; to train you as an independent professional with a command of competences and strategies in the field of ceramic design and craftsmanship; and to instruct you in the techniques and methodologies for developing sustainable ceramic projects.

Registration requirements

The registration period runs from March to September. To complete your registration correctly, you must fill in the registration form with the following documentation:

  • – Registration form.
  • – Proof of payment of fees (you will be able to download it by clicking here from March to September).
  • – Copy of the Bachelor’s degree certificate.
  • – Curriculum Vitae.
  • – Portfolio.
  • – Copy of ID card, passport, etc.
  • – Cover letter.

Recommended entry profile

The recommended entry profile for this master’s degree requires a qualification from among those listed below, or their equivalents in foreign qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Artistic Studies in Fine Arts or Higher Diploma in Fine Arts (LOE qualification) or Higher Diploma in Ceramics or Higher Diploma in Glass (LOGSE qualification)
– Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Artistic Studies in Design or Higher Diploma in Design (LOE qualification) or Design Diploma (LOGSE qualification)
– Bachelor’s Degree in Design or Bachelor’s Degree in Creation and Design or Bachelor’s Degree in Design and Creative Technologies
– Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering or Technical Engineering in Industrial Design
– Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Bachelor’s Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture or Technical Architecture or Architecture
– Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts

Selection criteria

– The correct application of design methodology in the development process of the projects presented in the portfolio.
– Professional experience in the field of ceramics, assessed according to the years of experience as a craftsperson, designer or person responsible for developing design projects in the ceramics sector.
– Social skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
– Language competence in English.
– A personal interview with the student assessing the following aspects:
a) Prior knowledge.
b) Their communication skills.
c) Their interest in taking the master’s.
d) Their willingness to work as a team.
